This piece was inspired by a pheasant caught in the low evening sun. A quiet moment when light turned its feathers to jewels, gleaming with every colour of the rainbow. It was one of those fleeting glances that stay with you, where the ordinary suddenly becomes radiant.

I wanted the weaving to hold that play of light and richness of hue. Deep golds, russets, greens, and blues shifting together in harmony. The structure and yarns catch the glow just as the bird did, a celebration of colour, light, and the small wonders that transform the everyday.
